It is reported that the miscreants made away with Tk 49,000 by pointing a pistol at the head of a police sub-inspector (SI) officer. This happened in the afternoon in Middle Basabo area of Sabujbagh in the capital.
The arrestees are Kurman Sheikh (58), Saiful Islam (26) and Aminul Islam (26).
The SI ranked officer was in plain clothes and way back to his house via rickshaw from his working agency’s headquarters at Malibagh.
Inspector of Sabujbagh Police Station, Khandaker Jalal Uddin Mahmud confirmed the developments. Saiful and Aminul both are members of robbery gang and have previous record of facing legal actions.
