Actor Porimoni and her associate Ashraful Islam Dipu have been placed on 2-day remand each while producer Najrul Islam Raj was granted 2-day remand in a case filed under narcotics control act and 4-day in pornography act.
Judge Debabrata Biswas of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court passed the order after conducting hearing on Tuesday (August 10).
Earlier, the investigation officer of Banani police station produced Porimoni and assistant Dipu before court after 4-day remand and sought another 5-day for further interrogation.
However, the defence lawyers filed a petition to reject the remand plea.
Producer Najrul Islam Raj was also produced before the court around 12:10 pm Tuesday. CID appealed for another 5-day remand for a fair investigation of the case under narcotics act.
Alongside, police also sought 10-day remand of Raj in a case filed with the same police station under pornography act.
