Whether the Chattogram container depot fire was an accident or sabotage would be revealed in probe report, said Information Minister Hasan Mahmud on Sunday.
Investigations are underway to address the real reason behind the devastating inferno at BM container depot in Sitakund, he said.
The minister came up with remark while speaking at a meeting with Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (Crab).
“The prime minister herself is looking after the matter and she instructed all concerned to provide necessary support”, Hasan said
According to fire service officials, the death toll following the deadly blaze rose to 49 including eight firefighters on Sunday.
Besides, over 200 people suffered injuries, most of them from burns.
Two committees have been formed to investigate the blaze and blasts.
