The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has arrested KM Aminul Haque alias Rajab Ali, an absconding war crimes convict, from the capital's Kalabagan area.
Rab's Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin confirmed the arrest on Sunday, saying they would detail the operation in a a press conference later in the day.
Rajab was sentenced to death by International Crimes Tribunal on charges of war crimes during the Liberation War in 1971.
