The met office today predicted rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty wind at a few places across the country in the next 24 hours as of 9am on Friday.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with hails at isolated places," said a met office release on Thursday.
However, the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.6 degree Celsius at Mongla and today's minimum temperature 18.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Badalgachhi.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 72 millimetres (mm) at Sitakunda.
