Teachers Network observes token hunger strike in solidarity with SUST students

University Teachers’ Network UTN), an organisation of university teachers across the country, has observed a token hunger strike expressing solidarity with the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) students demanding the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Farid Uddin.

The UTN observed the symbolic fasting at Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University at 12pm on Monday.  

Earlier on Sunday, associate professor Samina Lutfa of the DU social science department and also the spokesperson of the teachers’ network disclosed the matter in a press release sent to media.

UTN decided to hold a symbolic hunger strike at Aparajeyo Bangla in solidarity with the demands of SUST students, the press release read.
