Three passengers of a CNG-run autorickshaw were crushed to death when a truck ploughed into their vehicle in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on Friday (December 17) morning.
Two other passengers of the CNG-run autorickshaw were injured.
The incident took place at the Baishamura area of Shahbazpur union in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir Mia (35), Mahfuz Mia (32), and Amjad (30) of Shahbazpur village in the upazila.
The injured have been identified as Khejur Mia (45), and Kamal Mia (40). The victims are all labourers.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khantihata Highway Police Station Mohammad Shahjalal Alam confirmed the matter to media.
Upon receiving information, the Highway Police went to the spot.
