A Sylhet court has sent two men to jail over their involvement in a case filed over the murder of BNP leader AFM Kamal.
Mishu, 26, of Badambagicha area, and Mona, 25, of Gowaipara area, were arrested by the Rab in Noakhali Bazar area in Sunamganj's Shantiganj upazila on Wednesday night.
They were later handed over to the Sylhet airport police, said Afsan-Al-Alam, senior ASP (media officer) of Rab-9.
AFM Kamal, the former health affairs secretary of Sylhet district unit of BNP, was stabbed to death by a group of miscreants, who carried out the attack intercepting his car, in Barabazar area of Sylhet city on Sunday.
Also a former publication secretary of Sylhet district unit of Chhatra Dal, Kamal was a resident of Subidbazar area in the city, according to media reports.
Police had earlier arrested Aziz Hasan Kitu, one of the accused, after the victim's brother Moynul Haque filed a case with the Airport Police Station against 10 named and around five unnamed people on Tuesday.
Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, general secretary of Sylhet district unit of BNP, said that Kamal had serious altercation with a group of Chhatra League activists a fews days ago.
