The two-storied building of Mahuttuli Police Outpost (Ward No. 31) in Bangshal of Old Dhaka in the capital has collapsed.
The incident happened today at around 3:30 pm.
Confirming the matter, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) public relations officer Abu Naser said that the policemen stationed at the police outpost have taken up their position in another tin shed building nearby.
He said that Dhaka South City Corporation regional executive officer, female councilor of reserved seat and clean inspector of the corporation visited the spot.
The chief executive officer of the corporation Md Mizanur Rahman directed the regional executive officer to control the movement of people there by closing the road between the two buildings.
Inspector (Investigation) Kamruzzaman Hasan Kamal of Bangshal Police Station said that all the policemen of the police outpost in the building are safe.
