Today, Saturday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, will hold an important roundtable meeting with leaders from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and other political parties.
The meeting is scheduled for 1 PM at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka.
According to the BNP’s media cell, the party’s Secretary-General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with other party representatives, will be present at the meeting.
Later in the day, Guterres will take part in a joint media briefing with Foreign Affairs Advisor Tawhid Hossain, which is expected to take place in the afternoon.
Guterres arrived in Dhaka on Thursday for a four-day visit and is scheduled to leave on Sunday morning.
