Govt opens control room for proper management of sacrificial animal hides

The government has opened a control room to ensure the “proper management” of sacrificial animal hides during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

The hotline number is 01617338067, according to a media statement issued by the commerce ministry on Sunday.

Previously, an inter-ministerial meeting was held on Apr 12 to review related issues, including the management of rawhide.

The meeting also decided to broadcast messages to all media outlets regarding the proper skinning of sacrificial animals, mixing a sufficient amount of salt into rawhide, and the proper management of collected rawhide.

At that time, the meeting also planned to ensure the services through the control room.

Bangladesh is set to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on May 28.
