Before the arrival of summer, the heat wave is sweeping over five districts of the country in the last days of spring. The Meteorological Department said that this wave may continue.
The department says that yesterday the highest temperature of the country was recorded in Sitakunda and Rangamati at 37.0 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, 36.5 degrees in Bandarban, 36.4 degrees in Teknaf, 36.1 degrees in Sandwip, 36.0 degrees in Cox's Bazar and Sylhet have been recorded.
From 9 am today, the forecast for the next 24 hour says that a mild heat wave is moving over Chittagong, Rangamati, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Sylhet districts and may continue. Also, temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country during both day and night.
The forecast also said that the weather over the country may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers in the next three days.
