Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Russia after visiting Pakistan and Oman, as part of a regional tour aimed at easing tensions.
Speaking about the Moscow trip, he said the visit would help review recent developments and coordinate positions with Russian officials, according to Iranian state media.
Araghchi described his earlier visit to Pakistan as important due to Islamabad’s role in mediation efforts, but said the talks did not achieve expected outcomes, citing what he called excessive demands from Washington.
During his stop in Oman, he stressed shared interests in maintaining stability in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that both countries rely on the strategic waterway.
The visit to Russia comes as diplomatic efforts continue to address rising tensions in the region.
Officials said the tour reflects Iran’s ongoing engagement with key partners to manage the situation through dialogue.
