3 rohingya men killed in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar

Three Rohingya individuals were shot and hacked to death in a conflict over territorial dominance in the Ukhiya camp, Cox’s Bazar. The incident, which also left three others injured, occurred early Monday morning on June 10 in Block F of Camp No. 4 (Extension).

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhiya Police Station, Shamim Hossain, provided details of the attack.

The victims have been identified as Md. Elias (31), son of Zafar Ahmed from Block F; Md. Ishaq (54), son of the late Abdur Rakim, also from Block F; and Firoz Khan (18), son of Md. Ismail from Block E of Camp-3. The injured are Abdul Haq (32), son of Hassan from Block F; Abdus Shukur (55), son of Nazir Ahmad; and Abdul Manaf (60), son of the late Omar Mia.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security in the Rohingya camps, where conflicts over dominance are becoming increasingly violent. The local authorities are investigating the incident and have heightened security measures in the area to prevent further violence
