A case has been filed against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque in connection with the killing of an office assistant who was shot from a helicopter during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in Mirpur.
The victim`s wife, Reshma Sultana, filed the case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan on Wednesday.
According to the case, on July 19 at around 6 p.m., Firoz Talukder, an office assistant at Rangpur Chemical Ltd, was shot while crossing Gol Chattar in Mirpur-10 during helicopter gunfire. He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctors.
The other accused in the case include Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Manun.
