Content creator and anti-discrimination movement coordinator, Nuruzzaman Kafi, warned that he would call for a revolutionary government if his safety and compensation for the damages caused by an arson attack are not provided.

He made this serious declaration on Thursday after submitting a written request to the Chief Advisor through Patuakhali‍‍`s District Commissioner, Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin.

This came after a press conference held at the District Commissioner’s office, where Kafi spoke out about his demands.

Before this, Kafi had filed a case with the Kalapara police station regarding the arson attack and had also made written applications for security and compensation.

Additionally, he sent another written request to the District Police Superintendent, Anwar Jahid, in the hope of securing safety for himself and his family.

At the press conference, Kafi said, “Yesterday, Wednesday, I sat in front of my burned house and issued a seven-day ultimatum. A day has already passed, and I am demanding the identification and prosecution of those responsible for the arson, the guarantee of security for me and my family, and the reconstruction of the burned house.”

He went on to add, “I am repeating this today because my security is not ensured. Our colleagues‍‍` security is not ensured. If my demands for security and compensation are not met, I will be forced to call for a revolutionary government.”

The press conference was attended by Mohammad Rubel Ahmed, the Patuakhali District Coordinator of the anti-discrimination movement, and other supporters.

The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, around 2 AM, when criminals locked Kafi’s house from the outside and set it on fire.

Fortunately, before the fire could spread throughout the house, Kafi’s six family members managed to break the door and escape.

This situation continues to spark concern, with Kafi’s calls for justice growing louder.
