The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Traffic Division on Monday morning advised passengers heading towards Uttara or Dhaka airport to allow extra time for their journey.
Due to a breakdown of a covered van in front of Balaka, there was heavy traffic congestion on the road from the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden to the airport, Traffic Gulshan Division said in a Facebook post at around 9am.
It had also affected the traffic on the 300 Feet Road and Kuril area, it added.
The vehicle had already been moved aside, Traffic Gulshan Division said, adding that it might take some more time for the traffic to return to normal.
