Tuesday's enormous explosion in a five-story building in Gulistan’s Fulbaria area of Dhaka left at least 15 people dead, including two women, and over 60 others injured.
Inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, stated that it was not possible to quickly authenticate the identity of the deceased.
He added that the injured are currently being treated at DMCH.
According to Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the explosion happened at around 4:50pm with a loud sound.
On information, seven units of fire service and five ambulances rushed to spot and are conducting rescue operations, he added.
