Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has set up a central control room to monitor the removal of sacrificial animal waste from July 10-12.
The control room has been set up at the Shitalakkha Hall of Nagar Bhaban to supervise the waste removal activities, as UNB reports.
Apart from the department heads of the city corporation, the officers and employees of all the departments will perform their duties in different sessions.
People of Dhaka South can contact the control room through the numbers 01709900888 and 02223386014 up to July 12.
Prompt action will be taken in case of any complaint of the citizens regarding removal of sacrificial animal waste.
In addition, it will coordinate with officials involved in the removal of waste generated from cattle markets and record the amount of waste collected and removed from each market, verifying the information obtained from the Matuail landfill, with the waste collected and removed from the cattle market.
Beside, 10 teams have already been formed for the 10 regions of the corporation with the officers and employees of South City for on-the-spot monitoring of the waste disposal activities at the ward level.
These teams will supervise the removal of waste in 75 wards from 2 pm on Eid day to 12 July.
