Comprehensive preparations have been completed at the National Eidgah in Dhaka to host the main Eid-ul-Azha congregation, accommodating up to 35,000 worshippers.

The primary Eid prayer will be held on Saturday at 7:30 AM at the Supreme Court premises‍‍` open ground, which serves as the National Eidgah.

Considering potential adverse weather conditions during the monsoon season, an alternative arrangement has been made.

If weather does not permit the open-air congregation, the main prayer will instead be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 AM.

To ensure an uninterrupted prayer experience regardless of weather, the entire prayer ground has been covered with waterproof canopies and tarpaulins.

The drainage system has been enhanced to prevent water accumulation. Mats will be laid under the canopy, with arrangements for fans, lights, and a public address system in place.

Security measures are robust, with dedicated entry and exit points for general attendees and separate gates for women, who also have designated prayer areas.

A special gate has been assigned for VVIPs, and enhanced security protocols are being enforced, with personnel from the armed forces and special security forces already deployed.

Multiple control rooms have been established by Dhaka South City Corporation, the Metropolitan Police, and RAB to coordinate operations.

A medical assistance center and a team from the fire brigade will also remain on standby throughout the event.

Additional facilities include ablution points and separate arrangements for drinking water. Aesthetic arches have been installed at the main entrance with festive Eid greetings promoting the spirit of sacrifice, empathy, and self-development.

Overall, the site has been carefully prepared to ensure that the congregation can be held smoothly, peacefully, and with dignity for all attending worshippers, including high-ranking officials and the general public.
