Ahead of the BNP's Barishal rally, two journalists were injured after a stage set up for journalists broke.
One of the injured was identified as Sujoy Das, a camera person of Somoy Television.
He said, the stage broke down and fell on him.
Another journalist was injured and the camera was also damaged.
Meanwhile, the stage is ready to welcome the leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
Khandaker Abul Hossain Limon, joint convener of the committee to prepare the stage for the Barishal BNP divisional meeting, said that a 50 feet long and 25 feet wide stage has been prepared for the leaders.
Besides, 120 loudspeakers have also been placed around the venue, he added.
Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have already arrived in Barishal to join the party's divisional rally on Saturday (5 November).
Defying a two-day long transport ban, thousands of party leaders and activists were seen in Barishal city's Bangabandhu Park on Friday, reports UNB.
This will be the fifth one by the BNP at the divisional level as the first one was held in Chattogram, the second one in Mymensingh, the third one in Khulna and the fourth one in Rangpur.
