7 Bangladeshi pilgrims died of heatstroke in Saudi in a day

High temperature prevails in Saudi Arabia during June-July. Due to this, pilgrims are dying due to heat stroke. Already more than 6500 pilgrims have died due to heat stroke. Seven Bangladeshi pilgrims died in one day. A total of 43 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia.

President M Shahadat Hossain Taslim of Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB)  gave this information on Thursday.

HAAB President wrote in a Facebook post that a total of 43 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia till 5 pm on Thursday. Seven people died in one day.
Among the 43 Bangladeshis who died, 35 were men, 8 were women. Among them, 35 people died in Makkah and the rest in Madinah.

Spokesperson of the ministry of Saudi Arabia. Mohammad Al Abdul Ali said that at least 111,761 pilgrims have taken medical care in hospitals and temporary health camps in the past few days due to severe heat.

Incidentally, the temperature in Makkah and Madinah has been between 40- 43 degrees  for the past few days. Despite heat control, elderly pilgrims are becoming exhausted in the intense heat.
