Golam Kibria Boro Moni, general secretary of the District Bus Coach Minibus Owners Association and vice president of the Tangail city Awami League, has been given a four-week anticipatory bail in the rape case by the High Court.
The bench of Justice Iqbal Kabir and Justice AKM Rabiul Hasan granted the bail application on Tuesday afternoon. The court also granted anticipatory bail to Boro Moni's wife Nigar Aftab. They applied for bail on Sunday.
After four weeks, Boro Moni will appear in the lower court, Supreme Court lawyer Golam Sarwar said.
