The wife of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General M Khurshid Hossain, Dilruba Khurshid Baby, passed away this afternoon in the capital.
She passed away at their home at about 3:30 pm, according to police.
Dilruba had been receiving treatment for health issues that she has been dealing with for months, according to Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB`s media wing.
According to a RAB officer, DG RAB Khurshid was attending a meeting at the home ministry in the afternoon when he discovered that his wife`s condition was getting worse.
Senior police officers, including the commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police and the Inspector General of Police, paid a visit to the home of the RAB DG.
According to RAB representatives, Dilruba will be buried at Gopalganj.
