A newborn, who was stolen from a clinic in Chattogram city on Sunday afternoon, has been rescued in a sound state.
A team of police raided the house of a garment factory worker in a remote area of Anwara upazila in Chattogram early Tuesday and rescued the baby nearly 30 hours after he was stolen from a clinic.
Police, meanwhile, arrested five people including three staffers of Mamata Matrisadan in EPZ area in this connection.

Tasnim Akhter, wife of Shahid of Gahira area in Anwara upazila, gave birth to the baby at the clinic on Saturday.
On Sunday afternoon, a woman, impersonating a nurse, took the baby from the mother, saying that she was taking the baby to the ground floor for vaccination. She then fled with the baby.
Shahid then filed a case with EPZ Police Station on Sunday evening. Police, from CCTV footage, saw a woman leaving the clinic with the baby.
Police, during investigation, found that an employee of the maternity clinic was directly involved in the theft. The employee during interrogation told police about the baby`s whereabouts, said the OC.
police suspect that the arrestees are the members of an organised baby stealing group.
