Five hours after enforcing an indefinite strike, Sylhet District Transport workers have called off their strike on Monday upon assurance about meeting their demand.
Sylhet District Transport workers went on a strike demanding the release of Ali Akbor Rajon, Chhatra Dal leader.
Rajon, the joint secretary of Sylhet Bus-Minibus Workers' Union was arrested in a sabotage case.
Mainul Islam, president of Bus-Minibus Workers' Union, announced about the strike.
They withdrew their strike around 11am, said Mainul Islam, president of Bus-Minibus Workers' Union.
