7 BNP lawmakers submit resignation to JS speaker

Seven BNP lawmakers have submitted resignation letters to Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.

They submitted the resignations to the speaker after going to the National Parliament Secretariat around 11:00 am on Sunday.

The MPs who have resigned are— Brahmanbaria-2 MP Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan, Chapainawabganj-2 MP Aminul Islam, Thakurgaon-3 Zahidur Rahman, reserved seat MP Barrister Rumeen Farhana, Bogura-4 MP Mosharof Hosen, Bogura-6 MP Gulam Mohammad Siraj, and Chapainawabganj-3 MP Harunur Rashid.

Earlier, BNP lawmakers made the announcement to resign from the parliament while addressing the party’s 10th divisional rally held at the Golapbagh playground in Sayedabad on Saturday (December 10).

The lawmakers sent their resignation through an e-mail to the concerned authorities the same day.
