State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that the Awami League`s manifesto of building a smart Bangladesh that placed before 12th National Parliament elections has now turned into the manifesto of Bangladesh.
He said this while addressing a reception ceremony organized by Bochaganj Upazila Awami League of Dinajpur on Saturday.
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Member of Parliament of Dinajpur-2 constituency, was re-elected in cabinet.
At this time, Khalid Mahmud expressed his gratitude to the people of Bochaganj area and said, "Your love is the motivation to walk my way. We have repeatedly said during the election period that we want to make Bangladesh a smart Bangladesh. Daughter of Bangabandhu, Sheikh Hasina returned from a long exile and said that the fate of the people of Bangladesh has come to change."
Pointing out that Awami League`s manifesto has become Bangladesh`s manifesto, he said, "We have to take smart and modern steps to implement the manifesto. Unemployment should be reduced, employment opprortunities should be created. That`s why new generation have to develop themselves individually as an efficient citizen."
The State Minister for Shipping said, "There is no alternative to education to create a smart Bangladesh and create employment. So that we can introduce quality education in every educational institution. It is the sacred responsibility of all the teachers and guardians to make our educational institutions qualitiful and develop competent citizens."
Addressing the people of Bochaganj upazila at the time, he said, "The Awami League government has made significant progress. There`s more to do. Bangladesh will not suffer at the hands of Sheikh Hasina. Roads and other infrastructure have been extensively developed. You voted for boat to ensure a safe society. We shall fight for the entire security of Bochaganj."
