He said this today after paying tribute at Banani Cemetery on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Sheikh Jamal, the second son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
General Secretary of Awami League said that BNP's work is to destroy the country's wealth, to smuggle money, to kill people with petrol bombs. As a result, Awami League will remain in the field until the election to protect people's lives and property, but not to fight with that party.
Obaidul Quader said, "The current government is the people's government. It is in power with the mandate of the people, and will come in the future as well. So it is our duty to protect the safety and property of the countrymen. The government cannot knowingly hand over the power of running the country to a party like BNP."
