On Monday evening, February 10, a delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) met with Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, to discuss several pressing issues facing the country.
The meeting took place at the State Guest House Jamuna, beginning at 6:00 PM.
The BNP delegation was led by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who was accompanied by key party members, including Standing Committee members Salah Uddin Ahmed and Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
In the meeting, the BNP leaders raised concerns about the country’s current political and economic situation.
They specifically discussed the rising prices of goods, the increasing political conspiracies involving what they referred to as "fallen fascists," and the upcoming reforms and elections.
This meeting followed another crucial discussion on Sunday, February 9, when a separate BNP team met with the Chief Election Commissioner AMS Nasir Uddin and other members of the Election Commission at the Agargaon office.
BNP’s Standing Committee members, including Nazrul Islam Khan, Salah Uddin Ahmed, and Selima Rahman, were present at the meeting and were briefed about the ongoing preparations for the upcoming national elections.
With elections on the horizon, these conversations hold significant weight, as the political landscape in Bangladesh remains tense and uncertain.
