BNP senior leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has warned that any negligence regarding elections will not be tolerated.
Speaking at a youth rally in front of the BNP central office in Dhaka, he said young people are sending a strong message in favor of democracy and timely elections.
He emphasized there is no justification for delaying the election roadmap in the name of reforms or justice.
Citing BNP`s long-standing reform proposals, including Khaleda Zia’s Vision 2030 and Tarique Rahman’s 27-point plan, he said the people will complete the unfinished work of national consensus through voting.
Khasru also stated that if justice remains incomplete, BNP will take responsibility, as it has endured more hardship and sacrifice than any other party.
The rally was organized by BNP`s student, youth, and volunteer wings as part of a nationwide campaign to engage the youth.
The final event of the campaign took place in Dhaka, where party leaders, including Tarique Rahman, were expected to address the crowd.
