Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has ordered mobile network operators to suspend 3G and 4G internet services in Dhaka`s Nayapaltan, where BNP has organized a rally.
According to BNP leaders and activists, there has been no mobile network or internet access in the rally location since this afternoon.
Thousands of BNP leaders and activists gathered in front of the party`s Nayapaltan office.
A BNP worker who traveled from the Nabinagar Baipail area to the rally said, "I came in Nayapaltan around 12:00 pm. Since I arrived here, I have not been able to access the mobile network or the internet. I am unable to speak with anyone.
The similar complaint was made by journalists who rushed there to cover the event.
However, supposedly there is a mobile network and an internet connection availability near the south entrance of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, where the ruling Awami League is holding a rally.
However, the internet speed is little bit slow.
