Hours after a bus was set on fire in Dhanmondi, arsonists set fire to another bus in Shahbagh in the capital this afternoon.
At 2:35 p.m., the Airport Bangabandhu Avenue Paribahan Ltd. bus in Shahbagh was torched.
Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director of Fire Service media cell, said that the fire was put out by two fire fighting units.
He also said that no casualties had been reported.
The 36-hour blockade that the BNP and its allies called for is in its second day on Wednesday.
Unknown individuals set fire to a Rajanigandha Paribahan bus in the Dhanmondi neighborhood earlier in the morning.
Reports of arson attacks have surfaced since the BNP`s attempted Nayapaltan rally on October 28 was thwarted due to a confrontation between party members and law enforcers.
