Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today called upon the people, irrespective of parties and opinions, to extend all-out cooperation to the interim government, patriot armed forces, administration, police, BGB and Ansar in building a democratic country.
He also called upon the countrymen to remain alert about blue print of the ousted autocrat.
"We came to know from different reliable sources that the deposed autocrat and its cohorts have taken to street to take revenge on the interim government and the victorious students-people under an orchestrated plan," he said in a statement on the country`s current situation.
Besides, social media platforms are being used in a well-thought out strategy to shift the liability of the heinous crimes to different democratic forces, including BNP, he said, adding that an identified quarter is using social media platforms as well as some television channels of a neighboring country.
Especially properties and religious prayers houses of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities are being targeted, said the BNP secretary general.
Now their conspiracy is to divide the society in order to unleash communal riot, he said, adding they became desperate to make their evil efforts to create division among all victorious forces or the people.
Mirza Fakhrul hoped the ruling interim government, administration and people of all walks will remain alert to this end.
"Our party BNP has already taken all-out measures in this regard. Stern organizational and legal steps will be taken against those who will get involved with such ill efforts using the name of the party," he said.
Mirza Fakhrul said: "We want to alert the countrymen as well as all supportive local and foreign forces concerned about the conspiracy of the ousted autocrat and their cohorts. Especially, I want to make a call to the minority community members to this end".
He also urged all to create social consciousness and build resistance against this conspiracy from their respective positions.
