BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has voiced serious concern over the worsening situation in Bangladesh, highlighting critical issues such as rising prices of goods and the deteriorating law and order situation.
Speaking at the party`s extended meeting on Thursday afternoon, Fakhrul painted a grim picture of the country’s current state.
In his speech, Fakhrul expressed disappointment, stating, “We had hoped that elections would be held quickly after August 5, but that hasn’t happened. The country’s situation, from commodity prices to law and order, is in a highly troubling state.”
He further stressed that the current crisis could only be resolved through an elected government, adding, "Without an elected government, the ongoing crisis cannot be solved."
Reflecting on the sacrifices made by the party and its members over the years, Fakhrul said, “We have made many sacrifices. A number of our leaders and workers are no longer with us. We have fought for 15 years. I assure you that we will not engage in any actions that would damage the party`s name. Let’s all work together as one.”
Fakhrul`s comments underline the party`s resolve to tackle the nation’s challenges while maintaining unity and focusing on their long-term goals.
