Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that it is not only wrong to question about the achievements of the Liberation War on the Great Independence Day rather it is a criminal offence. He also alleged that the Prothom Alo is trying to discredit and alienate the government, including undermining the image of Bangladesh in front of the world.
Awami League General Secretary said, “Questioning the achievements of the Liberation War on Independence Day is not just a mistake but it is a criminal offence. Prothom Alo and BNP work to complement each other. Their target is the next election.”
He complained, "Prothom Alo is trying to alienate the government, to belittle Bangladesh in front of the world. No one is above the law."
Awami League General Secretary said about the attack on the media workers at the Iftar party of BNP on Friday, "The BNP severely beat up the media workers by inviting them to Iftar in Mirpur. Having a fight themselves, they blamed Awami League for that. Awami League has no enmity with the media, but Prothom Alo considers us our enemy."
