Terming the government "timid", BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said it cannot evade the responsibilities of the ongoing two-day bus strike in Khulna division ahead of the party’s rally.
He said: "The government did this in order to stop our root-level leaders and activists to join the grand rally."
"Train schedule is also facing disruption which have hit hard the general commuters as well. This is devoid of political courtesy," he added.
The BNP spokesperson came up with the claim while addressing a press meet at the party’s Gulshan office on Friday.
Nothing that the general commuters are in immense sufferings due to the transport strike, he said the government cannot evade responsibilities.
He urged the the party fellows to make the grand rally a success at any cost. "The timid government has stoppstopped doing it’s duties towards the people , so the BNP must take all responsibilities and look after the countrymen."
The other party policypolicymakers present at the event vowed that "the unpopular government cannot stay in the power now."
