Google has begun rolling out a redesigned account switcher across several of its apps, aiming to simplify the process for users managing multiple accounts.
The update addresses long-standing issues with the older method, which involved navigating through multiple steps to switch between accounts.
With the new design, switching accounts becomes much faster and more intuitive. Users now see a collapsible “Switch account” menu when tapping on their profile icon.
This new menu allows them to quickly switch between existing accounts or add a new one, without needing to access the more complex “Manage your Google account” section.
The new interface is currently live in apps like Google Translate, Wallet, and Tasks. It has also been spotted on iOS versions of Google Docs, Drive, and Maps, indicating a broader rollout across platforms and services.
The update appears to be part of a larger effort to improve user experience across the Google ecosystem.
Although it’s not a major overhaul in terms of functionality, the more efficient design is expected to save time and reduce frustration for those who frequently alternate between personal, professional, or other Google accounts.
Users who haven`t yet received the new interface may need to update their apps to access the feature. As the rollout continues, more Google services are expected to adopt the updated account switcher.
