This week at the Build conference, Microsoft (MSFT) announced the launch of Copilot+ PCs, a new line of computers integrated with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

The announcement highlights Microsoft’s commitment to bringing AI technology to everyday computing. RBC Capital Markets Software Equity Analyst Rishi Jaluria and Macquarie Head of US AI & Software Research Frederick Havemeyer shared their insights on this development with Market Domination.

Rishi Jaluria emphasized the potential impact of these AI PCs. "I think the introduction of these AI PCs is actually going to be a really big game changer to getting generative AI in the hands of every knowledge worker out there," he said. Jaluria noted that these PCs would enable users to utilize small and medium language models locally, thus expanding the general use of AI.

Frederick Havemeyer focused on the appeal of large language models to consumers. He stated, "It‍‍`s very clear to us that the technology of a generative AI model of large language models is something that will find fit with consumers over time. ChatGPT did, and I think that with the right interface and the right platform, we‍‍`ll find it over time."

AI integration is becoming prevalent across various sectors as companies strive for innovation and efficiency. Jaluria highlighted this trend, saying, "80% of CIOs are telling us that they are either currently in production or expect to be in production with AI over the next 12 months, so the appetite is real, the use cases are real." He also mentioned that there is significant potential for further growth in AI technology.
