Amber Heard announces birth of twins on Mother’s Day

This marks Heard’s second time becoming a mother.

Amber Heard has announced the birth of twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean, in a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Mother’s Day in the United States.

The 39-year-old actor expressed overwhelming joy at the "completion" of her family, calling the moment "elated beyond words." This marks Heard’s second time becoming a mother.

She welcomed her first daughter, Oonagh, in 2021. At the time, she spoke about embracing motherhood on her own terms despite facing fertility challenges, hoping to normalize parenting without the traditional expectation of marriage.

In her latest post, shared alongside a photo of three pairs of feet, Heard reflected on her journey. “Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms… has been the most humbling experience of my life,” she wrote. She described her children as part of the "dream family" she had worked toward for years and said she was “bursting with joy.”

“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you,” she added.

Heard is known for her roles in The Rum Diary, Aquaman, Drive Angry, and Zombieland. She was previously married to actor Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016. Their relationship and subsequent legal battles drew widespread attention. Depp sued Heard for defamation in the U.S. following a 2018 op-ed she wrote about surviving abuse. Although she didn’t name Depp, the jury awarded him $15 million in damages. Heard, who counter-sued, was awarded $2 million on one of her claims.

Despite her turbulent public past, Heard’s latest announcement reflects a new chapter focused on family and personal fulfillment.
