A general diary (GD) has been filed with capital’s Gulshan thana against Dhallywood actress Pori Moni on Wednesday (June 16). Gulshan’s All Community Club Limited (ACCL) filed the GD claiming that the actress came to their club and caused chaos, damage to property, displayed aggressive behaviour on June 8 before she went to capital’s Boat Club.
Pori Moni has not commented on this matter up until the time of writing this report
The famous actor organised a press conference at her Banani home on June 13. This happened a few hours after she posted the attempts of rape and murder on her life from her verified Facebook page on the same evening (June 13). She accused Nasir U Mahmud, a member of the executive committee (Culture & Entertainment) of Dhaka Boat Club, of these wrongdoings. Mahmud was also one of the founder members of the Uttara club and its Vice President. The initial post did not mention any perpetrator and she asked for the attention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to look into the matter.
Later on, 3 people including prime accused businessman Nasir U Mahmood had been arrested in a case filed with Savar police station by actress Pori Moni. DB police arrested them from Uttara on Monday (June 14).
Earlier on the same day (June 14), Pori Moni filed the case with Rupnagar and Savar police station accusing Nasir and 5 others.
