Pop sensation Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were spotted dining together Monday night at an upscale restaurant in Montreal, sparking speculation over the nature of their evening.
Footage shows the two enjoying a meal at Le Violon, a well-known fine-dining venue. Witnesses at the scene said the pair appeared engaged in an intimate conversation, with Perry leaning in attentively as Trudeau spoke. They reportedly shared multiple dishes, including one featuring lobster, and sipped on cocktails throughout the evening.

Security personnel were discreetly present, sitting at the bar with their backs turned but keeping a close eye on the pair through mirrored glass. At one point during the meal, the restaurant’s chef approached the table to greet them, and after finishing dinner, both Perry and Trudeau visited the kitchen to thank the staff personally.
The sighting comes as Katy Perry is currently touring Canada, with performances scheduled in Ottawa and Montreal this week. Perry, who recently split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom with whom she shares a daughter, has been embracing single life. Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
While it remains unclear whether the outing was romantic or platonic, the dinner has certainly raised eyebrows. For now, fans are left to wonder — friendly meeting or something more? C’est la vie.
