Former popular adult star Mia Khalifa recently announced her divorce from her Swedish husband Robert Sandberg after two years of marriage. Mia, now a popular TikToker, recently requested her fans to normalise divorce as divorce remains still remains taboo even in western society and mostly has regressive stereotypes.
A few days ago, the former porn star shared her divorce decision with a heartfelt post on Twitter describing how she and Robert were trying to make their married life work, but they fail to overcome the differences.
She added, "We will always love and respect each other because we know that it was not an isolated event that caused our breakup, but rather the accumulation of fundamental, irresolvable differences that no one can blame on the other for. We are closing this chapter with no regrets and both starting our own, separately but connected through incredible family, friends, and love for our dogs. This has been long overdue, but we're glad we took our time and gave it our all and can walk away saying that we tried our absolute hardest."
After the announcement, she received a lot of posts from her fans which led her to write again on July 25. She took to her official Twitter profile and wrote: “Normalize “congratulations” instead of “I’m sorry” when someone gets divorced. We’re not all under the covers crying into a pint of ice cream ????”
Lebanese-American media personality Mia is a popular TikToker with more than 10 million followers.
In May 2020, she starred as herself in the popular Hulu original show ‘Ramy.’ The following year, she cameoed in the music video for popular US TikToker Bella Poarch's debut single "Build a Bitch."
Her estranged husband Robert Sandberg is a popular chef on Instagram with more than a million followers who is currently based in Los Angeles. He was previously working as a sous chef at the popular Kong Hans Kaelder in Copenhagen.
