TV director Sazzad Sony dies at 37

Popular TV director and Directors Guild treasurer Sazzad Sony, 37, has passed away at 2.30 pm on Saturday (August 15). Doctors at the capital’s Neuroscience Hospital in the capital declared him dead and said he died due to a brain haemorrhage. 

Salauddin Lavlu, president of the Directors Guild, told the press that he was first taken to the National Heart Foundation Hospital when he suddenly fell ill and later on admitted to Neuro Sciences Hospital on Saturday night.

Kamruzzaman Sagar, general secretary of the Directors Guild, told the press: "We are all shocked by Sony's sudden death.”

Sony is scheduled to be buried at Banani Cemetery after a scheduled Janazah (funeral) at the Central Jame Mosque in Nikunja in Khilkhet.

Sony is popular for his notable TV dramas like 'Nagor', 'Aajo Kadaay', 'Keu Kotha Rakheni' and many more.
