An eleven-member Bangladesh archery team is set to leave for Turkey on Saturday night to take part in the Archery World Cup 2022 State-1 scheduled to be held from April 18-24 in Antalya.
A Turkish Air Lines, carrying the Bangladesh archery team, is expected to leave Dhaka for Turkey at 11 pm.
According to Bangladesh Archery Federation press release, the eleven-member Bangladesh archery team includes eight archers, two trainers and one manager.
A total of 197 men and 143 women archers from 47 countries across the globe will compete in the event.
Sponsor City Group and Youth and Sports Ministry will carry the entire expenditure of the Turkey-bound Bangladesh archery team.
The qualification round of compound division will be held on April 19 while the qualification round of recurve division is slated on the following day (April 20). The matches will be held at 5 pm (BST).
Bangladesh archery team: Ruman Sana, Mohammad Hakim Ahmed Rubel Mohammad Sagor Islam (recurve men's), Diya Siddique, Nasrin Akter and Famida Sultana Nesha (recurve women's), Newaz Ahmed Rakib and Mohammad Ashikuzzaman (compound men's).
Team officials: Mahbub Morshedul Alom (team manager), Martin Frederick(head coach) and Mohammad Ziaul Haque (trainer).
