Bangladesh shock England in first T20I series game

In the opening T20I of their three-match series against England on Thursday in Chattogram, Bangladesh upset England by six wickets thanks to a masterful bowling and batting display.

Bangladesh lost the ODI series 2-1, but they are off to a strong start in the T20I series with this victory.

Najmul Hossain Shanto maintained his recent success by scoring a half-century in this game and assisting Bangladesh in achieving the difficult target of 157. Shakib Al Hasan continued as unbeaten with 34 runs off 24 balls, including six fours, while Shanto scored 51 runs off 30 balls with eight fours.

Rony Talukdar, who made his T20I debut after an absence of eight years with national team, gave the Tigers a strong start by scoring 21 runs off just 14 balls. In this game, Towhid Hridoy made his international debut, and he did not disappoint. He scored 24 runs off of 17 balls, giving Bangladesh‍‍`s innings its lone six.

Ultimately, Bangladesh‍‍`s teamwork in the field helped them defeat England in their first T20I match.

Bangladesh had previously chosen to bowl first after winning the toss. Joss Buttler, the English-side captain, hit the highest score of 67 runs off 42 balls as they totalled 156 for 6. In their first wicket partnership, he and Philip Salt scored 80 runs, giving England a strong starting point.

Nevertheless, the partnership was broken by left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed, and England lost another early wicket when Dawid Malan was taken out by Shakib for only four runs.

At 135, England lost their third and fourth wickets, and at 156 for 6 they declared their innings.
