Ex-head coach Jaime Siddons signs in as batting mentor

Former coach Jaime Siddons is going to be appointed in Bangladesh cricket again.

However, this time he will not be the head coach, but a batting consultant.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter on Friday (December 24).

The contract with the Australian cricketer will start in February next year.

It was learned earlier that Jaime was likely to be appointed as tigers’ batting mentor. The BCB came up with the official announcement following a meeting of its executive body.

On 28 October 2007, Siddons was named the coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team. He left Bangladesh when his contract expired after the end of the 2011 World Cup, in which the team failed to qualify for the quarter-finals.

James Darren Siddons, born 25 April 1964, is an Australian cricketer, renowned for his involvement in Sheffield Shield first-class cricket over a 16-year career. He initially played for Victoria, and later for South Australia. He is currently a professional cricket coach.
