The movie will be released in the United States on November 22, but here’s the exciting part—audiences in Bangladesh will be able to watch it a week earlier, on November 15.
The film will hit the big screen at Star Cineplex, marking the first time a major Hollywood sequel will release in Bangladesh before the U.S. This surprise early release was confirmed by Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Marketing Executive at Star Cineplex.
The trailer for Gladiator 2 has already created a buzz online.
In the three-minute clip, viewers are taken back to the Roman Empire, with breathtaking scenes of gladiator battles and fierce fights in the Colosseum.
British actor Paul Mescal, who stars in the sequel, is shown fighting a massive rhino in an epic water battle, surrounded by thousands of spectators.
The trailer also teases that the new film will bring a fresh take on the original Gladiator story, blending the past with new challenges and adventures.
Director Kyle Prohaska shared his excitement about the film on social media, calling Gladiator 2 "incredible," with amazing action scenes that will impress fans.
He also hinted that the sequel would surpass many other follow-ups, saying, "No one expected a sequel, but it looks like it will be one of the best."
Talk of a Gladiator sequel has been around for many years, but it wasn’t until about three years ago that the project was confirmed.
In January 2023, it was announced that rising star Paul Mescal would take on the leading role in the sequel.
Mescal became widely known for his role in the BBC and Hulu series Normal People, which earned him critical acclaim.
Fans of the original film, which was a mix of action, drama, and history, are eagerly awaiting the release of Gladiator 2.
