18 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Tuesday (July 27) to 8:00am Wednesday (July 28).
Of the 18 deaths, six people died of Covid-19 infections and the rest twelve died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.
Of the dead, six were in Rajshahi district, three in Natore, seven in Pabna, and one each in Kushtia and Meherpur, he added.
With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 482 in 28 days of this month.
A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
