19 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (July 12) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (July 13).
Of the 19 deaths, eight were coronavirus positive, 11 died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus and the remaining four died of breathing difficulties, he said.
Of the dead, six were in Rajshahi district, three in Naogaon, three in Natore, three in Pabna, two in Chapainawabganj, one in Bogura and one in Sirajganj, he added.
With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 223 in 13 days of this month.
A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
